Potens provides a range of specialist support for adults with complex and challenging needs - learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism including Asperger Syndrome and Korsakoffs Syndrome (alcohol related brain injury) with registered supported & independent living, domiciliary care, residential care, respite, behavioural support & therapy and day opportunity services throughout England, North Wales and Northern Ireland.
Potens offers planned or unplanned respite and short break services to those with high support needs in a supportive and caring environment where as much independence as possible is encouraged. A wide range of needs, including complex needs and behaviour that challenges, can be met.

Newly opened Beaufort House provides a specialist environment for individuals with autistic spectrum condition, one which is continuously risk assessed and adapted to meet the ongoing needs of each person.
It allows for individual expression and a shared community life. We ensure that the individuals we support are as contented and as healthy as possible.
Potens 2011 Conference was held in Leeds on 15 September for all Potens Managers and Directors. The Conference was filled with useful information, presentations, workshops and good practice examples which were nominated and awarded in fun categories.
