Learning Disabilities
Beaufort House is a Registered Residential home providing specialist support for adults with autistic spectrum condition and learning disabilities. The specialist support service is close to the town centre and community activities of Redcar.
The service provides specialist support for adults with autism, learning disabilities and those who have additional complex needs associated with autistic spectrum conditions. Beaufort House offers service users a package which includes individualised support & care, in a stable environment and supports them in every aspect of their life.
The skilled staff team benefit from training and guidance from Potens Behavioural Support & Therapy team, in relation to communication and any behaviours which challenge.
Beaufort House provides each person with a spacious bedroom complete with en suite bath/shower room. Each bedroom is personalised according to individual needs and preferences. The home has 5 bedrooms and shared living and dining facilities, including two spacious living rooms and two kitchens.
Beaufort House provides a specialist environment for individuals with autistic spectrum condition, one which is continuously risk assessed and adapted to meet the ongoing needs of each person. It allows for individual expression and a shared community life.
We ensure that the individuals we support are as contented and as healthy as possible. The staff team foster empowerment, enablement and choice, assisting service users to maximise their potential through person centred planning.
There is a focus on low arousal approaches, focused behaviour support and augmentative/alternative forms of communication to assist individuals in daily living.
