Calder View comprises two residential homes and five dispersed houses. All the properties are located in attractive locations in Colne and Nelson, within easy reach of local amenities, public transport and the motorway network.
Calder View residential home is designed to provide more intensive and extensive rehabilition than the dispersed houses, and has 6 bedrooms, all on the first floor. We are registered to support men and women with mental health difficulties between the ages of 18 and 65 years.
The purpose of Calder View is to offer service users an opportunity to engage in a programme of mental health rehabilitation using skills training and independent living experiences such as domestic and occupational tasks, money management, leisure time and work activities and management of long-term medication.
The scheme provides service users with the guidance and support they need in order to fulfill their maximum potential. Over a period of time services users will be equipped with the skills they need in order to live, learn and work in the community with the least possible assistance from professionals.
