Croft Unit offers a vast wealth of experience, dedication and quality care on a permanent, rehabilitation or respite basis. The unit consists of 24 bedrooms (some en-suite) and 1 supported-living apartment

There are three lounge/dining areas, kitchens, several bath/shower rooms and its own laundry facilities. We are located in New Kyo, Stanley and have excellent transport links into the town centre, Consett, Durham, Newcastle and outlying areas.

OUR SERVICE

We offer a needs led support service to both male and female service users, between the ages of 18 and 65 years with enduring and recovering mental health needs - aiming to provide appropriate levels of high quality care in a pleasant, comfortable and above all, caring environment. We can currently support disabled services users that are able to look after their own personal care requirements, but we are not able to provide nursing care. Some of our bedrooms and toilets are on the ground floor and there is a lift to all floors.

STAFF TEAM & DEVELOPMENT

Support staff work as named key workers alongside you in preparing, promoting and implementing your own Care Plan that highlights your needs and wishes. The Care Plan is reviewed every six months after evaluation. All members of the staff team are positively encouraged to increase their knowledge and skills through supervision, NVQ and other training which are evaluated and reviewed regularly.
