Glenhaven Residential Care Home Llandudno

Glenhaven residential care home is situated in Llandudno, North Wales and caters for up to seven male or female adults with learning disabilities and behavioural difficulties, from the ages of 18 to 65 years.

Glenhaven has seven single bedrooms and one en-suite room on the ground floor. Each room is furnished with a bed, two chairs, wardrobe, drawers and a bedside lamp. Services users may furnish their rooms as they wish, however some items may require a health and safety check. The communal areas include a shower room, two bathrooms, two toilets, laundry room and a TV lounge.

ABOUT OUR SERVICE 

Our specialist service provides for adults with; learning disabilities, epilepsy, challenging behaviour and complex needs. There is an emphasis on community integration, teaching independent living skills and helping people to develop interpersonal social skills.

Each service user has a personal plan developed for them through personal meetings with multi-disciplinary consultants. Each plan is regularly reviewed to ensure that the service provided changes with the service users needs.

• To promote the independence of service users and help them to develop skills necessary for daily living

• To help service users to make informed decisions especially in the area of risk taking, ensuring that only responsible risks are taken

SURROUNDING AREA

We are situated on a residential street in Llandudno 200 metres from North Shore Promenade. It is a five minute walk to the local shopping centre. This centre affords a good variety of shops including; newsagents, mini-market, hairdresser, chemist, cafés and public houses. There are also three churches in the surrounding area. There is also a nearby tennis court and bowling green.
