Each individual room is furnished and decorated to the preference and taste of the individual service user. All communal areas, i.e. lounges, dining-room, etc, are decorated to a high standard, all having audio/visual equipment. The garden is used for relaxation, as well as other activities such as barbeques. The home has a car, which is at the disposal of the service users.

A reliable bus system operates from the adjoining road going to Preston or elsewhere. The train station is at the bottom of the hill. There are local shops within easy walking distance of the house. The towns of Leyland and Chorley are both only a short distance away, as are the town centres.
