Mental Illness

Registered Residential dispersed homes, providing accommodation & support for twelve people in 5 homes with mental health needs.

Takes a person centred approach, focused on positive outcomes for each individual. Encourages a homely environment, supporting daily living activities and facilitating access to local inclusive community activities.

The dispersed homes are close to the town centre and community activities of Nelson or Colne. The service offers people with support needs a package which includes individualised support & care, in a stable environment.

The skilled staff team benefit from training and guidance from Potens Behavioural Support & Therapy Team, accessing solutions to communication issues and any behaviour that challenges.

Facilities at each home - Small residential home with 2 or 3 rooms, with neutral decoration and space for sleeping & living in each personal room. There are a variety of communal rooms, bathroom, lounge, dining room & kitchen, plus a small garden or paved area.
