Mental Illness
Registered Residential assessment & rehabilitation unit, providing accommodation & support for twenty people with mental health issues and complex needs, split into three units.
Takes a person centred approach, focused on positive outcomes for each individual. Encourages a homely environment, supporting daily living activities and facilitating access to local inclusive community activities.
The Oak Unit is close to the town centre and community activities of Colwyn Bay. The service offers people with high support needs a package which includes individualised support & care, in a stable environment, aiding activities of daily living.
The skilled staff team benefit from training and guidance from Potens Behavioural Support & Therapy Team, accessing solutions to communication issues, daily living difficulties and any behaviour that challenges.
Facilities - 3 self contained units, each unit with 6-8 en-suite rooms, with neutral decoration and space for sleeping & living in each personal room. In each unit, there are a variety of communal rooms, lounge, dining room, kitchen & smoking room, plus access to a large rear garden & patio area.
