Mental Illness
Pendle View is part of the Calder View scheme which comprises two residential homes and five dispersed houses. We are registered to support adults with mental health difficulties between the ages of 18 and 65 years.
The scheme's two residential units are designed to provide more intensive and extensive rehabilition than the dispersed houses with Pendle View having 5 bedrooms on the first floor and 1 on the ground floor.
The purpose of Pendle View is to offer service users an opportunity to engage in a programme of mental health rehabilitation using skills training and independent living experiences such as domestic and occupational tasks, money management, leisure time and work activities and management of long-term medication.
The scheme provides service users with the guidance and support they need in order to fulfill their maximum potential. Over a period of time services users will be equipped with the skills they need in order to live, learn and work in the community with the least possible assistance from professionals.
